Comprehensive is a good way to decribe the 3HeroSoft iPhone Mate. It’s got more iPhone .mp4 and H.264 format settings for file conversions and DVD rips than you’ll ever need, with sizes from 320×240 all the way up to 1280×720.

The iPhone Mate package is three programs in one: DVD ripper, video converter, and iPhone/computer transfer-er.

The robust interface is self-explanatory and easy to navigate. The conversion quality and speed are impressive. The glaring shortcoming is in adjusting the video conversion with brightness, contrast and saturation or even enhancing the volume - no such controls. Even the Trim function is weak.

For most of us, we won’t miss those because the program does a nice job in the first place. But for those who need to tweak, your options are limited. BTW - it’s the only iPhone DVD & Video conversion suite in both Chinese and English. Good news for the Apple set - there’s a Mac version.

With a very fast MPEG-4 video conversion speed of 300x [90 minute movie/avi converted in 25 minutes] and a complete all-in-one tool kit, the Cucusoft Ultimate Suite lives up to its name. It’s fast. Expect an H.264 video conversion to take twice as long as MPEG-4 but be about half the file size.
